Research Interests

He deals with the numerical solution and related theory of linear and nonlinear partial differential equations, mainly in the elliptic case. To develop preconditioned iterations, he often relies on proper operator methods. He investigates qualitative properties (above all, discrete maximum principles) for the finite element solution of elliptic and parabolic problems. Typical applications of the above arise for transport type systems.
